Sue, the way to get the correct color is to use spot metering and point the exact center of the image at the brightest area of the flower. Press the shutter release half way down and that will lock the exposure while you re-frame the picture the way you want it. Then press the shutter the rest of the way down and take the shot. That will correctly expose the brightest areas of the flower so it isn't washed out looking. If the dark areas of the flower look to dark, then use "fill light" to brighten the dark areas and leaves.

Sean, the JTPs ARE very good waterlilies. Similar to many of Kirk Strawn's and as good or better depending on what you like I guess. I just have lots of better ones and I have to make room. Get em while you can because I am about to negotiate several wholesale deals and I might sell them all in a week or two.
