Author Topic: Sad Update on a WGF Oldtimer..... (Read 3034 times)

I just wanted to pop in here and let some of the other oldtimers that there's another angel in heaven tending to the gardens. Those of you who remember Debi (Pond Pixie) from VA will be saddened to know that she passed away Wednesday. As you all may remember, Debi had battled heart disease for the last several years, she was so young, just 54 years old.

I am sure that her husband Tom and her son William could use your warm thoughts and prayers. Debi always loved doing graphics online, in particular anything depicting angels, tonight I know that she is one.

That just breaks my heart . . . She did several fairy graphics for my daughter to use as her avatars. And she visited my brother's watergardening store (the one he worked at, but not the one he currently owns.) I'm very sad.

Is Tom checking her email address or do you have a current address for him?

I doubt that Tom is checking her email but I imagine William may, if not now at some time. I emailed you her address.

OMG! I am so sorry! :'(
I met her in person and she was such a warm, giving, outgoing person.

I will always remember her that way...
She touched a lot of peoples lives through the pond forums.

Thank you, Lynn, for relaying the information. I remember Debi and sincerely hope that she is happy and without any pain, in Heaven. :'(
I still have a pic of her on my PC. What a sweet person.

She so loved her pond, particularly the lilies. Here's a link to her website tho she had not updated it for a bit. http://www.mysticangel.net/ I'm not sure how long it will be up, but enjoy it while it is.

Lynn, I'm so glad you let us know.

I'm so very sorry to find this out. I was just thinking of Debi and Frogger Lee the other day and She Devil too.

I met Debi and Tom in person, here in Oregon when they were on a trip. They are lovely people and I felt bad to have lost touch with Debi in the last couple of years.

I know she was in a lot of pain and had a long struggle with her heart and other medical problems too. This is so sad.

I got to meet Debi as well. I am so sorry to hear of her passing. She was a very nice friendly, and out going gal.

I was wondering as well the other day where some of the old timers have gone? She Devil, Taz, Bran Muffin, Frogger Lee, and a few more that I can't think of at the moment.

Hello to all,
I know I am not around here much, but wanted to say that I am glad that Carol let Lynne know about Debi. I did not want to just show up here out of the blue, and have that kind of news.
I saw Debi a few months ago, and wish I could have seen or talked to her recently. She was a great person, and a good friend. We all shared such good times talking about our ponds and yards. You will have to go to her website, her newest pond was truly beautiful. Her photography was magnificent, and you will enjoy her pictures of her flowers, pond and yard.
We are going to try to go to the funeral tomorrow, it is in Virginia Beach.

I have met so many good friends here on the forum, and do miss all of you. I am sorry that I do not get in here anymore, I would like to try to get here occasionally, if it is alright with you all!

That is very sad news, I used to talk to Debi on ICQ all the time but lost touch a long time ago. She was a very special lady with a gentle nature. I loved her little rat dogs.

So good to see you all.........! I will join in.
We did go to Debi's funeral, rain and cold the whole way down and back. Even drove through Va. Beach, and it was too nasty to get out of the truck.
Debi's funeral was nice, if that is the right word to describe it, and at the risk of using a cliche', she did look very good. I will miss her, and of course, I can think of million things I would like to say to her.
