My first Lotus bloom - ever!

Have been wrestling, on and off, with Lotus' for ten years. Had developed a love / hate relationship with these plants.
Second year with this plant, and may I present "Birthday Peach". Finally!
Cheers,
Mike

Anytime I see something screech across a room and latch onto someone's neck, and the guy screams and tries to get it off, I have to laugh, because what is that thing?

woohooo!!! isnt it wonderful... Okay when your ready for the challenge... I have a very minature bowl lotus. way smaller than baby doll... had it 5 years now. and cannot make it bloom. All my other lotus bloom prolifically. I do the same thing with it. It has healthy beautiful follage.. It just will not bloom
no matter how small or big the container. The last two years I have resort to multiple containers each year trying to find what it takes to bloom. When your ready to tackle it let me know

Thank you - but no.
I'm so grateful for the gift you gave me last year, but if you can't make it bloom, then I really don't want to try it.
I'm just thrilled with a lotus bloom after a decade - thank you Tink!
Cheers,
Mike

Congratulations. It sounds like you did not change anything except the cultivator? I would think it would be warm enough for a long enough time in LA so lack of heat would not be an issue.
