I envy your ability to grow such lush plants. Those taro are really nice. I can grow them in the summer, but have to overwinter them in the basement under LED grow lights.
Baby turtles are touchy. I get some every year. Sometimes most live; other years most die. They're so tiny when first emerging that the frogs in my pond can eat them, so when I find them, I keep them in an aquarium until they reach 3 to 4 inches in length. They have to have ultraviolet light, as well as a heat lamp, good filtration, and a basking area. I feed them Reptomin, Romaine lettuce, an occasional dried shrimp treat or dried tubifex worms. Still, many fail to thrive -- just as in the wild.
