Spring has sprung (photos added)
« on: March 11, 2007, 11:14:44 AM »
SE GA. I have photos but unfortunately my web site is down...Go Daddy is doing some maintenance. But.....have fish pics, plant pics and we got to take the covers off the windows today.  @O@ It is 80 degrees and we are loving it. Wishing your's your way. I'll post pics when site comes back later this evening.

Edited 4:25 by Jen....Web site is back up so adding two shots more can be found on my link below. The birds are singing and all in the trees. OH GOD I love this!!!!! The tropicals have pads to.

Shot 1: I wasn't trying to get a good photo trying to sneak up on the fish. 8-)~

Shot 2: Notice how big livetogarden's umbrella has gotten over winter. Ah, don't look at the fish mate ....DH is moving it soon.

Supposed to get to 70 degrees here on Tuesday.  There is still snow on the ground and the other night we tied a record low of 7 degrees.  Weird weather . . . :swear:

Great shots, that is what is so nice about the south. Spring, my favorite time, comes so much sooner.
We too had snow that other day, and a real low temp, and now in the 60's.

90 today! Driest winter in recorded history here on the Left Coast. Ususlly we are trapped indoors for six weeks from mid February to the end of March - what with drizzle and temps in the 50's, but this yera it is dry and hot.  Summer came (very) early.

While outside and watering today, I saw four of my neighbours doing the same thing. We exchanged commiserations on what our water bills were going to be.

Cheers,

Mike

You are right. DC is north of us, and it was in the 70's here in early january.
We went to the beach, and people were laying out, getting a tan. We took Sassie for a run, and it was beautiful.........

Mike, I would gladly send you some. Wettest February on record since the 1940's here and March isn't shaping up to be much better. They say it is going to continue to be very very wet.

We are having mid 80's for highs and mid 50's for lows. Plants are growing but that last chill we had sent the live oaks to shedding their leaves.

Happy ponding,

Jen your lilies are beautiful! I am so jealous! The rest of your plants look great too! And your fish are really growing!  I'm starting to divide pickrel and lilies. The pickrel is starting to grow and I noticed a few leaves on the pink grapefruit lily I divided today.

We were up in the 70's today, I even got my biofilter up and running!  And my pump didn't burn up like I thought, the hose was just frozen up during that very cold month and a half we had.  Reality will set in this weekend tho',,,temps back in the 40's for highs....Ah, but today was SWEET! o(:-)
