love this unusual artist i discovered today

i had to do some research last night after watching vern yip's deserving design.  they showed a print that meant a lot to the people on the show.  they commissioned a painting for them for a surprise.  his stuff is so unusual.  i can't imagine paying 495.00 for a print, but i think i will be treating myself in the near future.  his name is james mclaughlin way.  you can see his art under the store tab.  there are four pages of his stuff.

the bad part about it, is that i love at least 8-10 of them.  it is going to be a tough choice to make.  i may have to buy one a year. right now my favorite favorites of the ones you can buy are

the ones i really want, are not offered for sale.  they are under the mystic circus heading under his work tab.  it is weird, but you are strongly drawn to it.

I love his cloudscapes.  And his percherons. 

Giclee is a art form that has been made possible by computers. The computer takes an image of an original - which you could not possibly afford - and makes a copy that is very true to the original. The computer matches color more perfectly than photography - and can even keep brush strokes and other details. Then the copies can be sold at a reasonable price.

It also allows the artist to keep the original, if he really likes it - but still make money to support his studio.

Its better than a print, which is a photographic technique.
