Could those unknown poppies be the Icelandic poppies I saw at OSH earlier this year?

No, they are much too tall at about 3' and I remember buying them from a specialty nursery a year or two ago.  The "unknowns" are volunteers.  The Danebrog poppy is a good 5 1/2 feet tall.  I have two long stakes keeping it from falling over....

You best be glad I'm not a neighbor...you'd wake up to me sitting on your sidewalk every morning...drinking my first glass of tea for the day.....I bet all those flowers bring in all sorts of birds and butterflies....
