How Cool Is This?!
« on: May 01, 2007, 09:49:02 AM »
I am at one of my post-op appointments right now. :)
In the waiting room, along with all the magazines I have already read dozens of times because I have spent so much time in doctors waiting rooms lately, they have 4 computer monitors so I can surf while waiting to be called into the doctors office.
How cool is that?!  O0 8) @O@

That is a doc who is doing a good job of keeping patients happy during the tedium of waiting to be seen. I could see that as a holistic approach as well. If you are in good spirits and your mind is active then you will naturally feel better.

What a good idea. That way when he has to keep you waiting, you won't notice it so much if you can surf the web. Smart person, that.

a 2 hour stint at the dentist's today.  Awful.  I am not jack Bauer.  iIthink I sold the countries secrets.  My new dentist is a raving beauty, but it doesn't help! Come to think of it, this is nothing when we think of Joyce's last year o(:-)

Wow, that is a good idea.  I must be one of the few fortunate ones that doesn't have to wait more than 10 minutes at the most at my doctor or dentist offices.  There are quite a few people here at my work who see the same Dr. and it's not uncommon for them to wait a minimum of an hour to see him!!  I know he is a great Dr. but that is ridiculous!   {nono}

That's a great idea but it tells me that the Drs. are way over booked to keep people waitting that long. Glad to see your up to surffing. Let us know the out come of your visit!

Fortunately, I have never waited more than 15 minutes at The Carol Baldwin Breast Center. (Stony Brook)
This last time, I barely had enough time to post my topic, less than 5 minute wait. O0
I think the computers are mostly for the people who accompany patients their for appointments.
I know the first time we were there, Bill came with me, and had to wait almost 2 hours while I was being tested, poked, prodded, scanned and grammed. He surfed the whole time, talking to his USMC buddies and military friends. 8)

I gave the wrong impression. I did NOT have to wait.  It was the ordeal in the chair!
More in a week or so.  Yikes!
