Nice Gary - a beautiful reminder what a pond should look like this time of year.

Cheers,

Lovely lilies.  I just love early summer when things start to bloom and it is still new and exciting to go out first thing in the morning and count things...LOL

I find myself lifting up the pots to see how many buds are on there.  It sure seems to me that the over crowded pots bloom better than the repotted ones.

Does anyone else do this?

They may have more blooms now since there are more plants producing flowers, however they will stop producing in that abundance once their food supply is exhausted. As a matter of trying to get the most buds possible I always divide once I see several plants together that are big enough to have a developed root system. Within a few weeks both transplants are blooming again.

My wife has been waiting for her N. Purple Nangkwag to bloom. It was a mess and a mass of pads. I tore it apart last night and separated it into 7 well developed plants. It is a tropical, not a hardy so it needs a good root system to sustain it. The mud that it was in was almost solid black as it had been deprived of most nutrients. I now told her to be patient for a few weeks. Since all are repotted and refertilized they should start blooming in a short period of time.

Very pretty blooms Gary. It is so nice to see them again. I really like Sunny Pink. It's so fresh looking. Mine are just starting to put up buds so maybe some time next week I'll have blooms too. Can't wait.

Thanks everyone!

Louis, I feel your pain, the hardies are blooming 3-4 weeks later than usual so I suspect you are in a similar boat.  I hoped in this weekend and it was just starting to warm up.  My Perry's Fire Opal, Mayla and atopurpta are all showing cold with their damaged leaves from the cold nights we have had!

Here is a new lily for me called Dallas.  Not sure if I like or not yet.

Hey Louis:

Dallas is more pink, but the sun reflected the color more peachy.  Here is Leydekeri Fulgens in its deer retention net!
