Esther "Marone" is an Italian exclamation, literally means "madonna or blesed Vigin Mary.
Sometimes pronounced Ma don! Often used as Damn.

Well Jerry, if you'd speak English I wouldn't have such a problem understanding you. $:-\$ When you use a foreign language on somebody who hardly gets out of Grand Rapids, let alone Michigan or the US, you can't expect me to follow what you meant. I have many Italian friends, and the term "Marone" is a used daily, especially when they see a pretty girl. It is a great language and has some wonderful expressions. I use Marone frequently.
Try watching "The Sopranos." if you can handle what they do with English, MARONE!

Mulignon means Eggplant, but is used as term for black people.
In Boston the Italians call it Mulinjohn, or "Mulli." Eddie Murphy talked once about the 2 Italian boys that were in front of a theater after seeing "Rocky" they were feeling very cocky.and called a black kid Mulli, the next scene shows the 2 Italians looking straight up at very tall black youth who says, "You talkin to me?"

No fair....we now (as of Sun.) have 2 college students in the family for next fall. We can't afford to go to the Eiffel Tower or Niagara Falls. How about Council Bluffs, Iowa (it's across the Nebraska border).

If you want fair, then as Cath notes you can't select based upon exotic places as most of us don't live in such a location nor can we afford to travel to such a location.

Fairness would also eliminate awarding a Tee based upon the most prolific producer of threads since someone such as me, who is retired, would have plenty of time to do so.

You might want to consider having several categories of posts in which a Tee is awarded. For example:

January: Most humorous pond experience post(s)
February: Most informative pond construction post(s)
March: Most helpful member post(s)
April: Most informative pond plant post(s)
May: Best greeter of new members post(s)
June: Best pond photo post(s)
July: Best pond fish photo post(s)
August: Random drawing
September: Mikey month

Here's another thought. I certainly don't read all the threads, and no offense to anyone, but I don't want to read all the threads. Some categories interest me, some don't. Rather than perhaps having feelings hurt based upon the subjective decision of a couple of judges, why not consider having the membership vote.

Hmmm, I thought we had a polling mechanism but I don't see it.... Some forums have the means for tabulating a poll (vote) but I don't see that feature on this forum...... If that feature is available, and not costly to add, that would be a simple solution. And I've tried voting twice

on forums with those polls and apparently the software recognizes and records IP addresses so that one can vote only once from the same pc.... In any event, it's a thought to consider.
