Silly fish
« on: June 24, 2007, 08:07:40 PM »
I went out to the pond today and my fish have dug up a lily that I just repotted and fertilized  {nono}.  My osmocote floated into the skimmer and the roots are showing.  Now I have to take it out and do it all over again   o(
The irony of life is that, by the time you're old enough to know your way around, you're not going anywhere

Been there, done that. :'(

I keep my plants in a plastic container, sort of like a laundry basket but with 1/4" holes so the fish wont' swim half way through and get stuck.  Water can pass through, but the fish can't get in and wreck things.  For some years, all was well with the plants.  But eventually, the koi get big enough to do damage.  The basket idea is new this year, and it's working GREAT.
