not anymore - not after so many of their kin have been victims of the predators. and that's a good thing, really. (being scared, not being victims  ;) )
they will come out and hang around if i get my hands down in the pond and they know it's me, but otherwise most noises and shadows send them hiding. i think they really just know that when the hands come in, stuff gets stirred up and food is to be found. ;D

Peaceful & pretty!  Looks like you've got a bit of grass left--enough room for another pond  ;) ;)
Kat

There is never enough room for all of the water lilies that I want ;-)

Beautiful setting!  Very natural looking and your lilies are beautiful.

thedahlialama, I bet you have those expense fish... most of mine are just goldfish.  I do have a couple of koi and for some reason 1 fancy goldfish

Kat, I have been thinking of a kiddy pool or I have 1 or 2 large old wash buckets that I am thinking of using for offsprings of lilies  8-)~

and thanks Lawanna and Kittyzee, I was just looking at those first 2 pond pics.. humm not the best.. saw a trash can and a few other unnessary thinks..  Lawanna, you should see a lot of the plants growing and doing well that I have received from you ... think all of them are doing well

no Myra, just common goldfish and shubs. my pond is too small for koi. despite that i've tried a couple and they were always the first to go. never had one last more than a month before disappearing. i've only got a few fish left that i bought at pet stores for $1.99 or less. most of the current inhabitants were born in the pond last year. i've been disappointed i haven't seen any fry yet this year. but they were going crazy with each other the other day and i suddenly had some unexplained bubbles so i'm hopeful there will still be a new group of young'uns this year.  o(

don't worry about those background items. if we all had to clean up before we took pics, no pics would ever get taken!! indeed, it all looks like a beautiful place to be ;)
