250 babies, Beast moved, Momo Botan, Dragonfly
« on: August 08, 2007, 04:24:03 PM »
Well, this week has been a challenge with the 100 degree weather but my Peach Blow tropical finally bloomed.

Finally caught & sold all remaining koi babies--over 250 of them from 3 seperate ponds.  All 3 ponds had to be drained completely to the bottom in order to catch them all  :o :o

Moved my beastly sized Star of Siam into the now empty pond ... see my kitty sunning himself in the window  :)

Momo Botan rewarded me with a gorgeous bloom today ... Osmocote fertilizer sure worked wonders for this lotus this year.

And while topping of ponds this evening I was able to get a pic of a dragonfly.

There is never enough room for all of the water lilies that I want ;-)

Couple of great photos there. I feel your pain on having to drain to catch babies. I got really frustrated last year with extra fish.

I'm not surprised your Star of Siam is humongous  :D  All the lilies I've been receiving from you have very large pads/stems.  Hard to believe all your lilies come from a simple structure.  I like it!

Beautiful shots of the dragonfly and your MomoB and Pink.

Great pictures! Your water looks lovely. I killed my Momo Botan with too much fertilizer in 2005. Yours looks terrific and healthy!  O0

Your lily's look beautiful, cute kitty.  Your SOS is huge, I have one in my Wakin pond.  I just love the pads on it.  Seeing your lily pond gives me ideas for next year....Oh DH, where art thou...LOL

Beautiful shots! Star of Siam is indeed a beast but a beautful one. ;) Love the dragonfly shot.

Great photos, Kat! I have two buds on my lotus. I ordered Baby Doll from Texas Waterlilies last year and ended up with a Chawan Basu. They sent this replacement this year, but I see the outside of the bud is tinted pink.....Maybe it will be white?! Today, I had Dauben, Innocence, Midnight, Mayla, and a blue unknown (probably Pamela) open and I see buds on KOS (finally found it!!!) and the POS I got from you. Life is good except for these fuzzy white caterpillars that showed up out of nowhere this last week. Oh, and the baby koi from you that are outside have totally eliminated the weird water bug population and are growing like mad! Still have some inside in the aquarium though. Thanks again for all of the gifts and great lilies you've sold me! It's nice to be back into ponding again. :)
