Help scientists learn more about birds by participating in FeederWatch, a nationwide survey of birds that visit feeders in backyards, nature centers, and schools. It takes place from November through early April, and your participation will help scientists track winter bird populations and their distribution. All you need to get started is a bird feeder!

Many regions have experienced weather extremes over the past few years - late frosts, early freezes, droughts, excessive rain - and this can pose problems for all wildlife, including birds, if habitat or food sources are diminished. Back yard feeders, birdbaths, and shelters help birds endure these challenges, so be sure to keep your feathered friends in mind year round by keeping feeders and birdbaths clean and full.
