N. Blue Cloud etc.
« on: December 10, 2007, 05:45:06 PM »
Here is N. Blue Cloud. It is the most sought after waterlily in existence today. It was the main reason Longwood Gardens had over 5000 visitors a weekend this year according to several of the curators. Ken Landon created this through careful crossings of select N. gigantea's. I made this "sketch" as a sort of Christmas Card for him.
I posted the original shot as well. I hope you like it.

By the way, as soon as I have all of the proper documentation in order I will be posting something very exciting and new about the world of Victoria's on the IWC site. Probably in the next couple of days as I am just awaiting info on who took the picture I have.

Thanks miguynmkoi.
It's hard to tell from the shot without perspective but that bloom was the size of a basketball. It is a phenomenal plant. Hopefully I will be able to get one in the next few years.
