Winter fun with my grandsons

We got 8" of snow Friday, it was the really pretty kind that sticks to the trees, makes things look like a post card.  I have the grandsons for the weekend so thought it would be fun to go build a snowman with Tae(the oldest) while the little guy napped.  Well the other grandma who brought him did not bring snowpants or boots so we had to improvise, 4 pair of sweatpants for snowpants and bread bags/rubber bands over his shoes for boots.  He loved it, to bad it was not good packing snow, so we just did a bit of sledding down the small hill in the backyard, when Jett woke up I brought him out, but he was not as fond of the cold snow.

That last picture could win a contest!  I love snow, but we don't get it very often.  When we do, we pull our kids (ages 24 & 26) on a big innertube behind the four wheeler!  They never get too old to play in the snow.
Love what the snow did to your reindeer too.

Just looking again I realized your grandson is wearing plastic bags over his boots!  I remember we use to do that when we were growing up too!  What great memories you brought back!!

Annette, he didn't have any boots with him so I put the bags over his shoes, it worked. 

The one thing I figure I  can give my grandkids is the love of the outdoors all 4 seasons, it's a lot cheaper then all those toys and it stays with you forever. And helps me stay young at heart.
