Finally done
« on: January 17, 2008, 09:17:15 AM »
Worked on it about 3 weeks off and on.

The 6 animals appliqued to the front are the same 6 on the fabric used for the room curtains and the back of the quilt. When the animals were done, it looked so bare so I found a alphabet applique design, put the rest of the letters on the first letter of the word, and then embroidered a miniature version of that animal somewhere on the letter. Because there is a lot of greenery on the back fabric that looks like palm branches, I put palm trees in the center.

Oh Esther, that is adorable.  You are very creative.  Will it be used as a wall hanging or to snuggle in?

It is intended for his bed. It's a toddler size bed, real low to the floor but still with the crib size mattress. I made another doodad for the wall hanging.
