worked on my container gardens today....
« on: March 14, 2008, 03:09:17 PM »
cleaned up the teeny tiny(bathroom sink) pond next to the porch...

moved and replanted the tub/ammo box gardens today-put 2 white pygmy lilies and 1 helvola in the tub and planted dwarf sweetflag in the ammo boxes so it will give me alittle green all year long..

my birdbath planted with sedum fell apart so I got creative with an old wheel barrel...

built a new mini pond on the left side of the gh door....

and then after all that work I sat by the pond on the ground and enjoyed some daffodils....

 8)  Must be a very nice day to be so energetic, working on your small "recycled" projects!

That's attractive rock work, too.  Love your daffy's.  Mine are coming up on their second wave...

Tink anything that holds water or soil is turned into a container garden around here...my customers just love coming here and getting ideas....I just hate to throw good garden stuff out...I have a huge heavy cast iron sink and counter I'm trying to figure out something to do with now...the only thing is I'll have to have a big strong mans help moving it....

Lawanna...girl you need to stop being so energetic  {nono} I feel bad for having this great weather and not being out there enough. I did get the frog pond cleaned out and got the solar cover off the pond, trickle tower working and a partial water change but you put me to shame with all that energy. Neat projects! My daffodils are blooming too..spring is here :) I need a wheelbarrow, love that idea  o(:-)

You know it's Spring when all you want to do is be outside.

Your baby is just too cute, look at that face.  I can see why you couldn't say no to him.  Your tubs and flowers look great too.

So much energy wow! Things are really looking good! Love that puppy! Still undecided about getting one. Karlies sue is used to going everywhere with me and not much work so I'm leaning to Not!  I have flowers in everything to. I even have a drinking fountion from a wash. ferry mounted on a wall with plants in it. I'll have to take a pix of my pot tree when I get it planted. I took and old barbaquer and it sits on the deck with floweres in it.Now I hope to start on things that will hold water. It's hard here tho for small water pots and such cuz it so dry. Ya have to go and fill them every day.
I'm just happier outside!

Thanks for posting some flower pics I soooo long to see some more signs of spring here, did see a robin this week and the goldfinches are getting their summer yellow.  But alas the juncos are still here so it's still winter :-\
