Hey you southern California gardeners! The first weekend of May (3rd & 4th) is the annual Mary Lou Heard Memorial Spring Garden Tour.
http://www.heardsgardentour.com/ South Orange County is targeted on the 3rd and north Orange County and parts of L.A. County is targeted on the 4th. A few homes will be open both days. I will be sharing my garden on Sunday, the 4th. If you want to attend the tour, click on the link above and then click on the link to "Tour Newsletter" for either the 3rd or 4th of May and that will give you a description and location of the gardens available to tour on that date. The tour is self-guided and free, however, the purpose of the garden tour is to raise money for designated charities and thus free-will donations are accepted but not expected. We usually just give once at our favorite garden. Some people give a dollar or so at each garden they visit. For the weekend there is a total of 48 gardens to visit..... It's a great way to spend the day. Bring a friend!
