I have several painted ferms and they are deep red like that and get more silverish but they are stunning.. everyone should have one I think~

Your picture of the banana gives me hope for mine.. I pulled it out of the basement and it looked like it might be dead but it looks just like yours does right now so maybe theres hope.  I am having a hard time figuring out how deep to plant it. Last year I grew on the slope and I tried planting it in a different place and it appear one side of the "bulb" is out of the ground to me.  I have tried turning it to mimic the way it was growing last year but I cant seem to get all of what I think is the bulb underground without the stalk being almost horizontal.  Will it hurt it if some of what was burried last year is not this year??

Wow, the foliage on those hostas is bright.  Sadly, I can't grow them here...  :no:
