UPDATE!!!  OK an entire week of not being able to find him!!!  I was sitting on the edge of the pond watching or should I say looking for the 6 new fantails I put in this morning and the Turtle (now named Jack) came swimming up for some air!!!!! :D   o( o( Ok I did find 2 of the Orange Fantails- so I assume the 2 calico and 2 white ones are probably fine in their new hidey holes!!!  They are about the size of a half dollar coin, so I am hopeing they dont become KOI Food! The Koi did not seem to care about the orange ones swimming arround!

What????  As I run out to the pond to look!!!!  There is a 2in Red Ear Slider in stream between the Waterfall and Pond!!  Where did he come from!!!  I have seen many Sliders walking arround the area, so I know they are around here, but I never expected to find one in my Fully Fenced backyard!! Most of my Fence is to or in the ground?

Now the biggest Challenge will be to get my Grandsons to leave him ALONE!!  I told them he is a Red Ear Slider and he can bite - but they are not affraid of Turtles....heck they live by a creek and pick up the Dinner Plate size ones that sun themselves there! Those Turtles are so used to kids playing with them, they dont bite.

Just ignore the String Algae! Its a constant battle!  Probably why I have not seen him till now! I always look at my fish but not the stream!

My son loves turtles too! We had one just show up at our place last season about the same size as yours. DS goes outside everyday to try and find him again this year. So far, we haven't seen him. But it hasn't been warm, so maybe he's just not out sunning himself yet.

Good for him!  It's nice that he found the sanctuary of your yard.  When I drive between Houston and Dallas I am always amazed and the number of turtles that become victims of our highways.   :(
