We finally got some much needed rain. Its been raining on and off since yesterday, the pasture looks like a marsh - no sense even walking out there, the clay sticks like wet dough.
So I hear this whoopin' and hollerin' and look out across the field, and there is a small gaggle of half-naked boys doing something I can't see. Being naturally suspicious, I sent my daughter's boyfriend to investigate - little boys will molest small animals just because they can.
The boys had a boogie board!
They were "ditch surfing", and having a BIG time.
The object of the sport is to surf the longest distance, which is defined as between two driveways, because the pipe will stop you. You run, throw down the board, throw yourself on it, and "surf" as far as your momentum will take you. Of course, its much more complicated than that, because the ditches aren't perfectly straight, and there are different styles...
Now I feel like a grumpy old lady. :'(
