Mother's Day and the pond is a tad cloudy
« on: May 10, 2008, 03:08:12 PM »
The kids and grandkids come over tomorrow, so wouldn't you know it?
It's not bad and it will clear as it has before, but why!

Well, isn't that how it always goes?

Just remember, your family loves you, no matter HOW the pond looks.   o(:-)

Thanks Julles,  It really is not bad, but I am used to seeing the bottom clearly.

Yup....that's how it happens.  We had company the other day...and the koi had tipped over a giant pot of creeping jenny.  I didn't realize it until the whole pond was muddy and murky.  The pot was completely empty of clay and rocks, the creeping jenny was bareroot. ...all that clay in the water.

Enjoy the visit topmorrow!

As far as I look at it - If I can see the Bottom "ITS CLEAN"!!!!! o(:-)  So what if the water is brown or green!!! And has a little Algae growing!!

Its a POND- not a bathtub!!   That is what I say to non pond people when they see my pond!!!  My Sister is the worse critic, everything has to be just right!!

Well it looks good enough for me!!

I'm telling you, that's just how it GOES!!  Like, we don't get that much rain in Houston, but EVERY time we put out our civic club newsletter door to door, IT RAINS.  Like, just so the paper can get soggy and no one will read the newsletter.  The day after delivery, it will be sunny and clear.  Happens every month, like clockwork.

It's just the way it works.

Normal people don't see what we see. We see algae, leaves, exposed liner, exposed filtration equipment. They see fish, water, plants, waterfalls. They see the beauty, we see the ugly.

I am happy!
Bought a square pot today for a lotus to be displayed on patio. It seems easy, just add water!
See you Sunday!
