Check your Lowe's plant clearance racks.......
« on: May 22, 2008, 10:50:06 PM »
A friend and I went to ours tonight and found incredible deals. I got 2 red Forever and Ever Hydrangeas for $3.50 each (already had a regular priced one in my cart that was priced at $14.95...needless to say I put that one back), 2 Dappled Willow bushes for $1.74 each (these are about 3 1/2' tall), May Night Salvias for $1.50 each, Creeping Phlox in 8 packs for $1 each, pink Salvia type plants for $1.50 each (sorry, I know the name but my brain seems to be foggy right now), tall Phlox for $2.50 each. All the perennials are in gallon containers and very nice sized plants. The only thing we noticed about any of them was my Hydrangeas needed a drink really bad. I gave them one when I got home and you would never know they were droopy when I bought them. We were so thrilled we could hardly stand it.  :)

I've been buying from my closest Lowe's clearance rack all spring/summer.  I've noticed different Lowe's will price differently on clearance plants.  Good to know you got some deals, too.

There is never enough room for all of the water lilies that I want ;-)

I squirt all of my new plants with an eco-friendly bug spary before I plant them.
The HYdrangea's look like new today. All they needed was a good drink.
