« on: May 30, 2008, 02:43:08 PM »
I think I love my mini rosees the bestest so far... and my climber zephrine d.  its her 2nd and 1/2 year :)  they say she will be spectacular as she ages.. I think she already is.  Think she is gonna be a house eater though, shes already outgrown the trellis.

Beautiful mini's.  Love the yellow ones especially.  I have one in tree form and it has bloomed like crazy every year for the past maybe 10 years - and has even survived my DH falling on it and breaking the trunk!   >:(-  ;)

While your roses are in full bloom ours taking a rest for the second wave.

Beautiful roses!!  I splurged this year and put out 2...one is a shrub rose and the other a climber.  The smell of them is like no other  o(:-) Some not-so-good pics of them early in the spring.

However, I am freaking out about the Japanese Bean Beetle invasion in about a month...I spray them with Sevin (the ONLY things I've sprayed) cuz they will be gone in minutes when the beetles find them.  I'm wondering if it's worth it.. :-\

anette... I had two of the playboy standard trees new last year and they bloomed and I left them outside in pots for the winter and they never really went dormant that I coudl tell had leaves all winter.. well end of feburary we were to have a super cold snap and I got scared and moved them into the basement.. from there they sprouted new growth but it was almost totaly dark there and to warm.. so I pulled them back outside and of course end of trees!  I wish I had jsut left them alone.. I love the standards.

Kitzee beautiful.. I am like yoiu have never had much success with them back through they years but thought I would try again.. my knockouts are just blooming machines and so far the others are doing good.  finger crossed!

Your roses are very pretty. I use to have a lot of roses too but they don't do well here at all unless they are sprayed for fungus so I gave up on them. I still have a couple that have survived without spraying. I hope your continue to do well.
