Look what Joey T. is doing

Hardy lily Joey T.

I was in the pond trimming away spent buds and yellowing pads and cut this off thinking it was a deformed pad.  Looks like it was actually a new plantlet already with two buds that were starting to form.

I've never seen this lily do that before.  It is kinda cool.

That is my favorite lily but I hope mine dont do that. I dont need anymore at all.

That's a hardy vipiparous. I will develope into a plant. If you are looking for a new home for it I would be happy to trade you something for it.

I think we could work something out Maryvonne since we're both in Canada and there won't be any problems with customs.    I can send you a small one I have growing in a little container (I'll send it as is so you can just plunk it in the pod).  I don't want any new plant until next spring if that would be okay?   I can send it after I get back from my vacation the week after next.  Send me a PM with full name and address and I'll make sure you get it when I'm back.
