The Sea of Lotus....
They just mowed, which sprays grass clippings into the pond...but that becomes fertilizer for MORE BLOOMS!

Very nice - are they self seeding? Or do you replant every year?

They are hardy, planted in the mud, spread by runners.
Every year they come up on their own.
The seeds are mostly eaten by finches and other seed eating birds.

I think we would all love to come to that sea of lotus! I am sure the pics don't even do it justice. They are gorgeous though.

What a paradise. I was looking through your pics and you have some wonderful pictures. There was a few of the construction of your pond. I think it was this one. If it was, boy it is huge and your house is lovely.
