Giant Bullie Tads...
« on: July 08, 2008, 01:16:48 PM »
Last years brood, getting ready to morph at 4-5" long.
These are ALL OVER the bottom of the pond, all around the edges.
Where the heck are all of them going to go once they morph???!!!

Plague of the frogs!! If there are too many for the pond some will leave looking for less competition for food. Or if a snake arrives they will be gone in no time! :'(

This is the size of the pond...approx 50 x 75' maybe a little bigger.....

I'n going to need a lot of snakes, and they are going to have to get by all the herons, hawks and osprey. :o

Wow, that is a load of bullfrog tads. Maybe a heron will come along and eat some as they morph. I'm sure the mortality rate is high for young frogs.

That would be Oregon Fish & Wildlife's nightmare to see so many here in one pond......Just read in today's paper that they've been finding snapping turtles here now too. They are also not native and eat native frogs and turtles.
