I HAVE A LILY BLOOMING!! Sorry - no pictures
« on: July 25, 2008, 01:03:53 PM »
I was out early feeding the fish, and didn't notice a thing.  Went out later to (over)feed the babies, and - BAM!! - a lily bloom!!

It's one of the 99c PetSmart close-outs from last year.  Veeery pale yellow, almost an ecru, with yellow center.

Soooo happy!!

Is that your first? That first couple of years, every bloom is a treat. Not that I don't care any more but I was more thrilled with the first ones.

Isn't it amazing?    Enjoy!!!

Do you rememeber what variety it was you got at PetSmart?  I got some there at the same time last year.  Mine were Sioux...and I have to say, I am really liking that lily.  It usually has two blooms at a time and they stay open really late in the afternoon.  Not bad for $1 ;)
