Longwood watch
« on: July 29, 2008, 03:31:23 PM »
Looks like tonight is the night my second Longwood bud will open, and there is a third bud! This is a pic of the bud this afternoon Also, for anyone who may not be aware that this lily has lots of little needle sharp thorns, I am including a pic of a new pad, just starting to unfurl. You can see the thorns on it and the bud.

Those are two stunning, sharp, clear pics...can't wait to see more!  What did this plant grow thorns to protect itself from, do you know?  How interesting that lily is. 8)   8)
