The papaya will outgrow the competition in short order. :)
Mine are about 20 feet tall. I have to wait for the fruit to fall. (can't reach it)
If you are lucky, it will be male. The males are CONSTANTLY in bloom, and the smell of their flowers is Wonderful!!!  o(:-)

There were 3 plants, but the other 2 were stunted and just stayed the same size.  I dumped them.

LOL  We must be of the same mind set Jerry.  I purchased a trio also about 2 months ago.  I planted them near the lemon tree and they are doing the "lean" looking for light.  So far all three are looking good.  Do you have any idea how long they will take before being mature enough to produce fruit?  I had to choose either the Mexican Papaya or the Hawaiian Papaya.  I selected the Hawaiian Papaya, Carica papaya ‘Solo’.

You may want to consider getting another trio.  My understanding of why they sell them in threes is because they pollinate each other better and produce more fruit.  Good luck with yours!
