Why the net? Cats love to scratch their claws in medium like that.
Jerry - re the comment about rude people on AP... I don't think we have that as an issue here. Every once in a while someone reads something wrong, but, on the whole, I think we have a darned nice, kind, generous, supportive, friendly group. I find it quite pleasant here, where as many other sites are not nearly as comfortable.
Now, more on rude people... I have recently had people ask me to reduce my prices for my work (I hang wallpaper for a living). I NEVER do that. It's tempting, because it's better to make less $ than no $. But I have a policy to NEVER do it. Not fair to me, not fair to my other customers who did pay full price, and it effects my attitude while working - why should I bust my butt to do a good job if I'm not making a fair wage, and if the people don't respect me or my work? Besides, it's virtually always the people who are well-to-do who ask for a discount. Working class people seldom do.
Now, I'm talking about labor, and my living. As far as selling items or things, that's a different story. Especially with used things. Bartering is part of the game. But, if the seller says "no," then one must be polite and either agree to pay the price, or politely go elsewhere.
