Well kinda.

Once we were watching a documentary about that lady who worked with the (was it) chimpanzees or was it gorillas? Anyway a mother had several children from different years who lived in a big troup. They still continued their relationship even though they were able to take care of themselves. There was one that acted real bratty and pushy. He didn't like it that she had a new child and would even tease it and do mean things to it. They made their night sleeping quarter in the tree tops. Somewhere along the line in the story, the mother died. The brat climbed up to his leaf bed in the tree top and never came down. He died up there. I thought it was so odd that the one that seemed to be the strong willed one was the one in the end who wasn't.

I was watching a film about Jane Goodall's studies, and there were Chimpanzees that do that too.
Maybe Baboons or Orangutans as well. Very sad.

PS, edit- Esther, I think that's the lady you were referring to. Jane Goodall.
