Now and Then ( Or, where were you???)

Time slips away from us so fast, and forum folk come and go.  We need to reflect from time to time on our past relationships with those in bygone days, be they high school or college classmates, work associates or our favorite forum folks.

Here is a map once posted on the old watergardening forum with "members" locations.  Were you there, are you still here, are there some you miss and some you don't?   Some are still here, some have moved on, some have passed on. Give it a moment and you may see a name jump out like an old friend.  Might even be yours.

I wasn't there.  I was at the old forum for only a bit more than a year, I think before it collapsed.
 A good project.
We do have a site now with members locations, but only if the member signs on

Lydia doesn't post here but she has since moved from Florida up to Teresa's neck of the woods in Georgia.  I visited with her about a year ago at her beautiful new home and I continue to keep in touch with her.

mikey does lydia post to any other pond forums?  i had the pleasure of meeting her when i lived in alabama.  she came to visit her mother who lived near where i lived at the time.  it was my only time meeting a forum member until i met johns here in charlotte.  she seems a very genuine person.

Dang Johns, that map is old! I'm still in Oregon.

I lost touch with Kaimana who is listed on the map but did meet her once in person.
I also met Marcile and Tom in Arizona but have lost touch with both.

I still have a picture I printed out of Pondzilla's waterfall that I really liked but he hasn't been around in years.

I know Brenda Ponding in the Desert went to Newt's forum as did Theron and Greg Bickal.

Dave in Minneapolis moved to Arizona but that was the last I've heard from him.

I "saw" and spoke with Rose (Gardnpondr) on Garden Web recently. I did give her the link here.

I've wondered about Barry and his natural spring pond for a long time. I have also wondered about Tazman and She Devil, Junko, Matsuko, Larry Wilson, Steve Johnson, Cookc, Richard K and Roger.

Last I heard from John Disdale he had suffered a stroke. I hope he is alright. I lost his email address when my hard drive crashed in 2005.

I believe Scooter was Debi and sadly, she passed away. Frogger Lee joined and posted here to let us know but didn't hang around long.

Disdale had a stroke?  Dang, I'm sorry to hear that.  He wasn't that terribly old.   :'( I hope he recovered.    :(

I wish Rose would show up here...she was a sweetie.   O0

That map must have been before my time as I don't remember it.
There are a few people I miss. I miss Marilyn and her lily expertise. I know she has popped in here on rare occasions.
I miss MJ in Salt Lake. I do still hear from her by email once every few months. She has been very ill with diabetes.
A few others have gone to other forums that I don't visit.
I'm finding that I don't have as much time to be on the forums anymore either. Work has been busier so not as much time to internet.
