Not good with botanical names here but that's Wandering Jew correct?
Kim gave me some last year which I grew in a pot with a few taro's and it grew into a beautiful mass. Unfortunately I overwintered it in our garage and it died when we lost power because of the icestorm!

I have found anything close to the pond thrives better than in other spots, must be the humidity. We have very little of that here

there is a net-canopy, so there is a tiny shade factor. My guess is less than 10%, but the water from the falls must make a difference.
Oh just noticed it gets late afternnon shae too.
