60 blooms today
« on: October 12, 2008, 11:15:02 AM »
Haven't been paying a lot of attention to my ponds (procrastinating because I need to do more cleanup, weeding, & getting ready for winter!) but took pics & counted 60 blooms today.  All tropicals except for 2 of them even though we've been having cool weather.

Beautiful  o(:-)

My Black Prince still had blooms and lots of buds when I pinched...and brought into the house for winter.  Never done this before...will see what happens.  I received 3 baby plants in the mail in June and had 13 golf ball size tubers to come indoors.

Thanks.  If you know someone that lives in the USA close to the border that I can ship to, that will be fine.  Then you can pick up from them.  Just remember, the payment will need to be PayPal & a USA shipping address  ;)

I won't have access to many of my tropicals in the winter because I cover the ponds, so Xmas won't work out for me either.  So contact me next year to see if we can work something out  :)

How beautiful Kat!!!! o(:-)  I pulled all my tropical lilies in yesterday, about half of them still have buds so I set them up in the sunroom, today I had 3 blooms....better then the 55*-60* water they were in.  A few hardies still have blooms, but most are cut back, Mangkala Ubol, has 3 buds left.....this lily has been a fantastic bloomer,I'm so glad I could get it, thanks again for it Kat .

Just beautiful! O0
We had our first frost over the weekend. Just about two weeks earlier than normal.

You have a way with lilies, Kat!  They're all so beautiful!

Just wondering as the weather seems to be cooling, with a few hot days here and there, should I cut back the pads or just cut the yellowing pads only?
