Tink, I think you will do just fine.  I've wintered mine over now a couple years, in a preform in the basement, I have grow lights but because I do not heat the water they are just staying alive, but it works.  Would love to have the blooms in the winter though, maybe I'll look into a heater.

Gosh, it looks geat even without all your plants!
I just hate this time. Knowing it will all be iced over in another month. YUCK! I spend the winter dreaming up projects for the next spring, much to Husband's dismay.

Good luck overwintering. I've never had any luck with trops. I didn't even bother getting any this year. i love the pic sof them though.

I may be starting halloween decorating today!

I actually like the fall when there is finally some open water. Once my hardies stop blooming, I cut them all back and love the open water effect. Seems to make the pond look bigger.

Your pond looks great, still lots of color around it.

Good luck with the trops!

Hey Tink,

That will probably work just fine.  Mine did in the greenhouse thingy last year.  It was just a heated and a standard florecent over it, and I had a couple blooms over the winter.  But the stayed alive.

I have inherted a 100 gallon tank with oak canopy and stand.  Can't make up my mind to take it or not, with the recent disaster.  I'm almost afraid to get another tank in the house...LOL

I've always admired this tank, its my MIL's.  Its beautiful.  What to do, what to do....scratching my head.

Kim

Ponds are like patato chips, ya just can't have one.
