We had a hard frost last night , it's a good thing I took all my tropicals into the
g'house for the winter or they would've been toast !

My lillies are fading as are the lotus even though the temps are relatively warm,  I think the hours of daylight are a trigger.  53 this morning, it will warm to middle 80s

I think my trops are done. They still have buds coming up but its getting too cool for them to come to the surface and bloom. We're supposed to have hard frost tomorrow night so I'm sure they will be done after that.

Lucky you!!  I brought my tropical lilies in 2 weekends ago, and the marginals this weekend.  The low this morning was 28*F    , but the high was 53*F, unless you count the wind chill then it was 40*F.  Tonight will be warmer about 34*F I hate the cold!!

Its been pretty nippy here too.  Patchy frost here and there.  We finally pulled out all the wh tonight, and moved my tropical lilies into the greenhouse.  Tomorrow night will be the taros.  There just isn't enough time for me to get things done lately.
