« on: December 16, 2008, 10:38:54 PM »
Looks like we will have it tomorrow evening.  I need to use plastic to protect key plants. There are juet not enough blankets at the VA for this! Kidding.
How bad is it to used plastic??

lol lol lol  Too Funnneee, Sean!!!  lol lol lol

Rain is really coming down hard and ponds are filled to the rim here.  Jerry, you might want to set up tent like structures around some tender plants.  But aren't our plants more resilient when facing frost maybe a few times a year?  Most of my plants that suffered frost in the past grew back just fine.

My wife did come up with a lot of old sheets.  Who knew we had them? I got the tender ones covered.  A few like Ficus benjamina will have to tough it out.  Just too many.
Sean, I brought "your" Royal Poincianas in!  Hope the garage will be enough.
Cleaning house today for my birthday party on Saturday.  If it's my b day why do I have to clean toilets? :'(

As you can guess I have job offers for Saturday.  Isn't it always the way? I declined.

I covered my banana tree with an old sheet but everything else should be fine. I still have lily pads and this week has been nice and warm in this part of Florida. We have two pineapple plants that I bring in if the temps drop to freezing or below. Of course, freezing temps are nothing new in this part of Florida anyhow. It can get down into the high teens here. Poor Southern Cal folks. They just got to use to the warmth. lol
Happy ponding,
