Happy Birthday!!!!!  That was absoulutly soooooooo cool, did they make the video, how nice to have that as a rememberance.  The look on your face as you got out of the plane looked a bit scared, but you were all smiles as the camera caught you on the way down.

i wasn't scared or nervous for any part of it.  i was amazed how calm i was.  when i was getting out, they keep stressing that you have to arch back into the instructor and i was really only thinking of arch, arch.  then they make you cross your arms there too.  it was unbelievable

Wow, wow, wow. That is soooo cool! You are very courageous. Did I hear the sound correctly that you lost 118 pounds and this was a reward? How did you do it? Girl, if you lost that much you need to get some more skydiving rewards and then some!

Awesome.  Our whole family watched the video. My daughter just about flipped out she loved it so much. And, the "Perfect song!" she said.

I have friends who got into skydiving, and they are HOOKED!  Eventually got good enough to do those sorts of stunts where they make formations in the air, holding hands and forming rings and all that, and it's for competition.

I also used to belong to a business networking club, and one really nerdy guy kept asking me to go skydiving with him.  Another took me aside and said that very exciting adventures like that, especially potentially dangerous ones, have a way of working as an aphrodesiac.   :o

I don't know how many women were won over by the nerd, because he took them skydiving.  But one of them was NOT me.   ;D

congrats....and happy b-day!

My GF's kid wants to do that for his 18th BD...and she said she'd do it too.   I'll have to think about it.  I've never really been afraid of heights...but the ground rushing towards me at a high rate of speed is kinda scary!  lol
I'm broke and can't afford to pay attention, so you might have to lend me an ear.

my 50th birthday was last june, i was just celebrating being 50 basically.  i lost the weight by exercising like crazy and staying pretty much steady at 1000 calories a day.  i have a total gym and really love using it.  it makes it so easy to exercise.   speaking of depends....i bought some because i was sure i would have to pee in midair and wanted to be prepared.  it didn't happen and never really crossed my mind once i was in the plane.  it was  a great experience and i highly recommend trying it.  i have never been afraid of heights and i know you guys won't believe me, but you don't even think about being up high when you jump.  never had a nervous stomach or any butterflies.  i hate roller coasters that take you up to the top and drop you down.  this was nothing like that.  while we were hanging around in the hanger someone came in with two sugar gliders.  they are the neatest animals.  like a cross between a miniature squirrel and a bat.  one slept curled up hidden the crook of my arm for a long time.

Congratulations, that was so cool. O0

I admire you so much for losing the weight, especially since you did it yourself, without resorting to surgery.   I'm sorry, but I think too many people take the surgery route because they think it is easy.  In my opinion, if you don't have the willpower to lose it, you won't have it to keep it off.  I speak from experience too, I have gained and lost all of my life.  But never 118 pounds.  That is GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!   That is a hugh accomplishment @O@  You should be so proud of yourself.

Congratulations on turning 50 and also losing so much weight!!!  Everyone deserves a treat for themselves on the 50th year of their birth!!  I wish I had the knowledge I do now when I was much younger!   lol  I became a firefighter at 50 and rapelled off the ladder truck with the guys of my unit for training one afternoon.   :o   8)  I am STILL proud of myself--and I'll bet you are feelin' pretty cocky about your accomplishments too--you should be!!   :D

I, myself, couldn't see anything wrong with that plane. Did the engine make a funny noise? lol My wife couldn't see anything wrong with the runway. lol Even if I didn't have a bad ticker, I wouldn't have the heart to do that.
Happy ponding,
