The torn pectoral fin, and the few small abrasions / bruises on my female and males after Monday's spawn - those will heal themselves, right? The fin will grow back together?

Mine always do fine left alone.
Some people make it into rocket science and start dipping in salt, PP, sewing and even GLUEing fins back together.
I let Mother Nature take care of them.
NEVER lost a fish to spawning wounds.

I leave mine alone to. After a scare the time they all got trapped in the coconut lily bag from walmart. One had a bulging eye socket he was so bad and he is alive and fine today with just one eye. I think if water quality is not the problem they heal on their own.
I use alot of Koi Clay in my ponds especially early spring and i really believe that stuff is great for the fish and the water.

Ahhh... I had bought koi clay last year, after learning about it on AP, but didn't use it during the winter, and had forgotten I have it... will pull it out again.

they are tuff....just watch the places and make sure they don't turn into something worse...chances are that they will heal without any problems....Just make sure to keep up the water quality...spawning can do a number on your numbers
....lots of water changes too...

Freedie - we've had discussions on here about koi clay. See if you can Search for them. Or Google.
