I'm getting certification to do physics surveys on mammography units, and I'm also all for breast cancer awareness. I like tributes such as the pink hardy lily, and I wear a small enamel pink ribbon pin every day. For some reason, breast cancer awareness has really become commercial this year. I guess it's a good thing, but when my supermarket has pink tic-tacs, sweatshirts, hats, and Sam's club has pink ribbon chocolates, and now pink hairdryers...I don't know. It just seems as though marketing has caught up with the need to promote the awareness while really lining their pockets.
