Carex Aquatilis, Spider Lily, & Mare's Tail
« on: June 06, 2009, 06:54:40 PM »
Haven't boughten any new bog plants this year, so I went to the local water garden store & bought these three plants.  I picked out the most stuffed pots available & divided them up before putting them in my ponds.  Does anyone have any experience with these?  Any suggestions?  The Spider Lily blooms white.  I read online that the Mare's Tail does like to be submerged fairly deep ... is this true?  Most of my bog plants have wet feet & not submerged more than 1".  Thanks.
Kat

There is never enough room for all of the water lilies that I want ;-)

I got a Mare's tail in a trade a few years ago . I just keep it in a shallow bog....a foot deep.
Seems to like it because it does real good.
Don't know anything about the other plants ...sorry . I'm sure someone else will let ya know.
