A new and perfect haul out slab for the turtles

Except they won't use it.  I even put food on it.  I am assuming they will eventually. >:(-
It is the empty one on the right!

Cool picture of the kiddies.  The haul out may be too new and scary for them but is it easy for them to climb up onto?  Looks like they are going to miss a good thing.

People aren't the only creatures who don't accept change very well.

They will get on it eventually. Turtles are very communal critters, on the bayous and creek near my house you will see 5 or 6 of them sunning on a log. I'm sure they don't hang out together when they hunt and feed but they like us love to get together and chat.

Nice looking slab.  Like the others have said, I'm sure they'll eventually use it.

It look perfect to me, Jerry.  I'm sure they will get used to it, and begin to use it soon.

Would love the garden tour Julles.

Anytime I change anything with the basking areas in my turtle tanks it usually takes a day or 2 for them to get up the courage to try it.

It can be hard to get pictures of turtles basking.
As soon as mine see me they jump in the water because they are either scared or they know I am the guy who brings the food.  :)

My turtle gets startled and hits the water if I come running out the door really fast, or if a stranger approaches the pond.  If it's just me, though, he stays on his slab unless he sees that I am going to come hang out with him, then he follows me wherever I go :)
My pond is a turtle pond!

2006: ~135 gallons of water in a 150 gallon stock tank.
2012: ~250 gallons in a 330 gallon stock tank
2013: ~40 gallon in-ground wading pool for my box turtle

One RES, and a passel of gambusias.
