GROWING CATTAILS. HELP

I purchased dwarf cattails , and put them in the pond they are the same as when i planted them... How do i get them
to start moving...Can i just put them in the pond with no pot.. I have a rubber maid pond  so it wont go thru the liner

any help will be appreciated

So they are planted in soil in a pot? You're lucky if they stay there. Give them time. You may find your preform full of cattails some day.

they are planted in a pot with soil and gravel  do i need to fertilize them

to start them out...leave them in the pot just make sure the pot is either leve or higher than the water level....once they really get going then you can lower the pot....like Esther said---just give them time...

I don't like cat-tails. The only ones I have is the verigated ones. I repotted them this spring and they are very slow growing. But they will grow.
