Blooming Leopards.....
« on: October 14, 2006, 10:42:47 AM »
My Leopard plants are now in bloom.  These plants are grown mostly for the foliage but their short-lived flowering stalks are a nice Fall accent to the garden.

And here’s a close-up view of the flowers…..

The flowers don't look like they belong to the plants!  Very nice look together tho.

LOL - Come by any time. (8:-)  You wouldn't be the first...   People routinely drop by, mostly complete strangers, and they often leave with cuttings or seeds.  I enjoy giving away excess plants, seeds or taking cuttings for them but I admit it really irritates me when someone comes by during the darkness of night and digs up a plant they like. &-)

That would reall p@## me off if someone dug up my plants without permission  &-) &-).  I can't believe someone would do that.

Mikey means what he says - I have "come by" and raided his garden for many years now. (Didn't realize that the good stuff meant a midnight stopover). Actually, I got the good stuff legitimately too - he is very generous!

Cheers,

Mike

I'll probably never make it to that part of the US so I'll just have to admire form afar.

Thanks Terri but there's a trade off.  It's too warm here for peonies and hostas. :(  And tulips are treated as an annual....
