PVC BOOT RACK, the photos speak for themselves
« on: October 31, 2006, 03:39:19 PM »
I did post this on the  new DIY forum too.
Thes guys were always on the floor. The wire devices didn't work at all.  I had visions of a nasty spider crawling in.

Detailed plans are available for 19.95, includes an American Ponders Tee shirt!
( in case you missed it, this is humor)  Oh yeah, you can buy the tee.

I just hate those spifers.... ;)

Now on a serious note.  Why won't they crawl inside when they are hanging upside down?

Spifers are a lot worse than spiders!  I can use pvc caps on the ends for a more finished look. Who cares? This is in the garage.
I am sure they can climb in if so inclined, but i think it's less likely this way?
Now, do I modify the first post and fix "spifers?"

Whhooo wooo, the temp logo is back!  nice work Mr Webmaster!

We lost the logo?  Missed that!

If you go back and modify, nobody will know what the devil Mikey's talkin' bout . . . . hmmmm. . . . .

I don't care about the open ends except that they provide such a nice little cave for those nasty spifers . . . . dd#2 just hates spifers so . . . .

Jerry, did you peruse those PVC sites? There are gobs of ideas about using PVC for stuff for your work shop and making stuff for around the home.

By the way, speaking of spifers crawling in shoes, there was a lady customer at our bank who left her gardening shoes in the garage and she put them on and was bitten by a Brown Recluse on her foot. She had a terrible time getting it to heal up.

I don't keep shoes in the garage but I do keep leather gloves out there for use when I trim prickly plants.  When I need to use them I wring them them real tight and then I do the "Mikey Two-Step" on them to insure none of those pesky spifers are waiting to greet my intruding hand...

Regarding "spell check".  I downloaded that one that Louis recommended and it works real good........as long as I remember to use it......  You simply right click on your narrative and it tells you what's wrong and lists optional words.  That said, I like the word "spifer"  :-)~ :D

I got the link here from one of Louis' posts.  I'll try to locate it

I couldn't fined Louis' thread but I found where Sean posted a spell check link which I believe is the same one: http://www.iespell.com/  Click on "Download" on the left column.

What is a corl? Aha spellcheck wonders if it is corks. Evidently you didn't download spellcheck or didn't use it. I did and love it.
