William Phillips
« on: September 13, 2009, 03:31:14 PM »
Last Wednesday Dr. William Phillips passed away at one of our local
hospitals.  And no, nothing to do with his heart, was kidney failure.
Many of you knew him, few didn't know him.  He was a great hybridizer, had a collection of Australian lilies to absolutely die for,
plus many more.  In fact, it's his fault I fell in love so with the Aussies
at his house.  He will be missed.

This is certainly a loss to all ponders and liliers.

You said you saw lilies at his house?  How did that come about?

Marie took me to his house a few years ago. He had beautiful lilies. He was very nice to me,  even though he had never met me.
