Put a wanted ad in your little local "blabber" or on Craig's list.

I am using Craig's  so far most are too too far away to even look.
A few I can buy from Amazon for less and no frt. Much to the sellers dismay.  Yes same brand and model.  They tend not to believe me! I send them the links.

I am at a few universities often.  All the students use bikes. The distances are vast.
My walks are easily a 1/4 mile Or more, than the return trip . Parking is tough too. Citations are common.
I will find one.  I want a good one like the "Strida"  It is way pricey.  "Dahon" is ok too.
I am spoiled, as a former sporting goods dealer I had access to much at wholesale prices.

If you can't find one just get an old beater and chain it up where you start your ride and then chain it up where you end up and then just reverse that..........nobody will mess with an old ugly bike  ;D

I agree but I don't want a big bike in my Prius.  It just cuts it up.
My Grandson at ucsb does exactly as you suggested.

Oh you can't do that anyway as I just noticed you said you would be traveling to different universities. If you had a steady everyday thing for long periods at a time it would work but not if you have to haul it around all the time  ::).
Why don't you just get a unicycle  lol and don't forget we want pic if you do  lol. Can you juggle?  lol
