red worms

Hey all,
    put in our first pond this season. Lot's of algea, I noticed when I was hosing off the biofilters there are lots of little red worms in the filters. Was wondering if this is normal or could it be due to we're using pond clear enzymes ? Would appreciate your in put.

I have them in my biofilter too and as far as I know they are normal and don't hurt anything.  If you have the stomach for it and want to, throw them to your koi next time you're doing maintenance.  They supposedly love to munch on worms.  My comets won't touch them.
